Lee 's heritage as home to some of the country's greatest film classics; hosts a wide variety of film programming – including a summer outdoor film series; and partners with the County to sponsor the Emerging Filmmakers competition as well as sponsors film programming with other organizations. Founded in 2002 to promote outstanding filmmaking by showcasing a wide variety of film, video and animated works, this Festival, held in Asbury Park , also provides educational programs in the creative arts, by industry leaders. The sixth event was held April 4-6, 2008.
